The Real Mr. Cappers

One morning on my way to work I heard what sounded like a puppy barking. I looked in my rear view mirror and sure enough, a puppy was running in and out between the line of cars waiting to get on the freeway. When he reached my car I quickly opened my door and called to him. Without hesitation he jumped right in. I took him home where he would be safe until I returned from work.

With no tags, no chip, and no reports of a lost puppy I then was going to find him a new home, but after a few days of being with him I fell in love. I asked him if he wanted to stay with me and his tail went into instant happy wag.

I named him Casper. His nickname was Mr. Cappers.

They say dogs can't understand verbal language, but he made me believe they can. Or at least he certainly seemed to understand. Sadly, cancer took him away from me at the young age of 9. He is still deeply missed which is why I started Mr. Cappers' Happy Pets.
This is my dedication to him.
